algorithms for Metrodate.com, utilizing Oracle
and ASP.Net, to create a fast, robust multi-user web site, serving an average of
over a hundred members at any given moment, 365 days a year.
Members can send messages to each other, chat with each other in real-time, add
voice messages and photos of themselves to their profiles using HTTP upload through
a web browser. Recently, Pliner Solutions added streaming video content capabilities
to Metrodate.com using Windows Media Server,
to enable members to upload video profiles.
Metrodate.com offers different levels of
paid and unpaid memberships; paid memberships are purchased online using e-commerce
capabilities implemented by Pliner Solutions. Credit card charges are verified or
declined, and within moments, members can gain instant access to all of
Metrodate.com's features.
