Our Role
InterviewStream contacted Pliner Solutions with a vision of a new kind of job site, where employers could view virtual interview clips through the use of video streaming technology. We were able to bring that vision to life.
Pliner Solutions developed and implemented the functionality of the website utilizing Oracle and ASP.Net technologies. Job Seekers create "rezumes" on InterviewStream.com using a simple but powerful DHTML interface. The Job Seeker then selects a series of questions they wish to be asked, and schedules a virtual interview at a nearby InterviewStream interview location.
The virtual interview is conducted by kiosk software, which was developed by Pliner Solutions using the Microsoft.Net platform and Windows Media Encoder technologies. The Job Seeker is asked a series of questions (pre-selected when the interview was scheduled), and answers each question, much like a real interview — except that each question may be re-answered, or skipped and answered later.
When the Job Seeker is finished answering all of the questions, the kiosk software automatically converts the recordings to a web-friendly format, and transfers them to the website.
On June 15-16, 2004, the InterviewStream Virtual Interview Kiosk was awarded Best New Product Introduction at the 5th Annual Kiosk Awards™ by KIOSK magazine, out of close to 100 entries.
