What can Quitter do?
- Quit any program running on any networked Mac*.

You must have a copy of Quitter Daemon running on these Macs (requires registration).

*A Remote Mac is any Macintosh on your local Appletalk Network, which
includes computers connected through AppleTalk Remote Access. And, if
you have Mac OS 9 installed, Quitter works over the Internet!
Quitter Daemon comes with your registration
Quitter Daemon must be installed on the computers you want to remotely
restart or shutdown. It is not required for remotely quitting applications.
Put the Quitter Daemon into the Extensions folder,
and users won't unknowingly quit Quitter, because they won't even
know it's running. This background-only version takes up about 30k of
ram! This is ideal for lab machines and servers. You will receive
Quitter Daemon with your payment.
Quitter Daemon is an Application Extension ('appe') which means that it loads like an extension, but
it's really a background-only application, so you will not get the typical
extension conflicts we're all used to. Quitter Daemon takes up NO
CPU time at all when waiting for something to happen, and takes less
than 50k of ram and hard drive space.
