How do I install and use it?
To install, quit your web server, drag Hexomatic into
the plugins folder (remove any existing versions.) And restart your
web server. If you have an existing file "mystuff.sit", create a link
to "mystuff.sit.hqx". That's it! Users will receive a binhexed file!
You do NOT need to maintain ANY binhexed files on your server!
If the binhexed file of the given name (with the .hqx) already
exists, Hexomatic will send that file as-is.
Security
Hexomatic works with all files whose name end with
.sit, .cpt, .sea, and .dd.Please note, it will work with ANY file with
this extension. Hexomatic will also work with all files in a
directory containing a file called ".message". (The contents
of this file are not important.) Hexomatic will also work with all
files that are in a directory containing a file called ".messages"
(note the 's') as well as all the files in its subdirectories.
Examples
Let's suppose you are already serving a file called "mystuff.sit".
Once Hexomatic is installed, you can create a new link like this:

You do NOT need to create a file "mystuff.sit.hqx"! This will be
done on the fly, when a visitor clicks on this link!
