Installation
Note: FormSaver 1.7.4 will no longer include the ACGI version of FormSaver.
WebStar Personal Edition:
- Quit WebStar
- Remove any old versions of FormSaver
- Put the FormSaver plugin and FS Secure plugin into the WebStar plugins folder.
- Restart WebStar
WebStar 1.3.2+, Quid Pro Quo, or other W*API compatible servers:
- Quit WebStar
- Remove any old versions of FormSaver
- Put the FormSaver plugin into the WebStar plugins folder.
- Restart WebStar
- Configure Realms to disallow people from accessing your .fs files (See the security page.), or simply drop FS Secure into your plugins folder.
MacHTTP or WebStar 1.3.1 or earlier:
Note: A WebStar 1.x to 1.3.2 updater is available here.
- Put FormSaver.acgi directly into the server directory (not in a subdirectory). You may not rename it.
- Configure Realms to disallow people from accessing your .fs files. (See the security page.)
NetPresenz:
- Put FormSaver.acgi directly into the server directory (not in a subdirectory). You may not rename it.
- There is currently no way to protect hackers from accessing your data files.
Microsoft Personal Web Server:
- MS PWS is no longer compatible with current versions of FormSaver, as their server doesn't work with new versions of W*API.
Others:
FormSaver works with other W*API and ACGI compatible web servers. Please let us know what servers you have had success or problems with. Be sure to send us a URL to download the web server, so we can test it for ourselves.
